Downtime

My latest magazine cover, created mostly in Adobe Illustrator and then finished in Photoshop. I put a lot of time into this cover, as there were layers of the ship's architecture I needed to understand and create before I could turn this into a night scene and add the lighting.
I almost abandoned it half way through because it just didn't feel right, but I stuck with it and made the changes to the composition which I think really work for it.
I haven't seen it in print yet, but after coming back to it, I'm quite pleased with the final piece.
